The Seaweed Soak

There are few experiences that place you so completely in the landscape as the Seaweed Bath Ritual at Trim Castle Hotel. Set along the edge of the Rooftop Thermal, each freestanding bath is positioned beautifully to face directly onto Trim Castle and the Boyne Valley beyond, giving  you a front-row seat to one of Ireland’s most historic settings.

The experience begins with time in the thermal facilities, where heat, water and stillness prepare the body for immersion. Moving between the hydrotherapy pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and cold plunge pool, circulation is stimulated, muscles begin to soften, and the pace of the day quietly recedes.

You are then guided to your individual bath. Infused with mineral-rich seaweed, the warm water takes on a silky, enveloping quality, releasing natural oils that soften the skin while gently easing tension held in the body. Suspended between water and open air, with uninterrupted views of the castle and surrounding landscape, the experience becomes as much about place as it is about restoration, a moment of complete stillness, held in the elements.

Lunch follows in Boann Café where you can enjoy a selection of light dishes and a variety of vibrant salads and the daily soup. A choice of hot and cold beverages accompanies, whether a freshly brewed coffee or something lighter. Guests may dine indoors or on the terrace outdoors, allowing the calm of the experience to extend naturally into the afternoon.
