The Bathing Retreat

There are few experiences that place you so completely in the landscape as The Bathing Retreat at Trim Castle Hotel. Set along the edge of the Rooftop Thermal, each freestanding bath is positioned to face directly onto Trim Castle and the Boyne Valley beyond, offering a unique perspective on one of Ireland’s most historic settings.

Your experience begins with one hour in the Rooftop Thermal, where heat, water and stillness prepare the body for immersion. Move between the hydrotherapy pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and cold plunge, allowing circulation to improve, muscles to relax and the pace of the day to gently slow.

You are then guided to your private outdoor bath, where you may choose between a mineral-rich VOYA seaweed bath or a therapeutic bath salt experience. As the warm water envelops the body, tension begins to melt away while the skin is left feeling nourished, soft and refreshed. Surrounded by fresh air and uninterrupted views of Trim Castle, this is a moment of complete relaxation, designed to reconnect you with both nature and self.

Lunch follows in Boann Café, where you can enjoy a selection of light dishes, seasonal salads and the daily soup. A choice of hot and cold beverages is included, whether a freshly brewed coffee or something lighter. Guests may dine indoors or on the terrace, allowing the calm of the experience to continue into the afternoon.
