Care Programme  

At Trim Castle Hotel we have developed a care programme, that will constantly evolve as Co-Vid 19 restrictions ease. This programme is to ensure that our guests, team members and suppliers will all be able to return to hospitality’s ‘new normal’ from the 29th of June. It is our guarantee that we will be ready, prepared and waiting to welcome everyone back safely.

This programme will include health and safety guidelines and recommendations that have been developed by the Irish Hotels Federation and the HSE.

Keeping You Safe 

At Trim Castle Hotel, we have a AHU System in place. This system regulates our heat, ventilation and air-conditioning. The system uses ISO filters that changes the air throughout the Hotel up to 30 times per hour.  

Our Team

All our team will attend new training safety programmes designed to deal with this current outbreak to ensure that safety and sanitisation is a top priority.

We will follow Government guidelines regarding Personal Protective Equipment and the wellbeing of our team is extremely important to us.

All Team Members will be required to complete the 'Return To Work' form.

Infrared Temperature Checks will be implemented for all Team Members as they arrive into the Hotel. 

Checking in and out of the Hotel

Prior to Arrival

If you would like to pay for your accommodation prior to arrival to this hotel we can offer a secure payment option to our guests, this will reduce your check in time please email info@trimcastlehotel.com today to avail of this option. Email receipts will also be available.

On Arrival to The Hotel:

On arrival, access to the hotel will be located on the left-hand side as you come through the car park barrier between the Barista Café and The Kilkenny Shop.  A member of our team will be there to direct you to reception.

Please ensure that only one member of your party checks in at reception.

We would recommend leaving your credit card details with reception on check in to enable you to room charge and move around the building without having to handle cash.

Our hotel key cards are sanitised after each use.

Lift access is available from the hotel lobby, these will be frequently cleaned and sanitised.

Please use stairways where possible or access the lift only with your own party.

In house guests staying multiple nights will have fresh towels left outside the bedroom door daily and Full Linen changes will be completed on every 4th night of your stay. If you require anything extra please contact reception .

Check Out  

An express check out facility will be available, please advise reception on the night prior to departure and this can be arranged for you. 

In room service

We are developing a new cleaning programme for all rooms in line with Government guidelines.

We will be reducing touchpoints and footprint in rooms.

Any extra amenities will be removed from the room.

If you require anything extras from the hospitality tray please contact reception.

Should guests require in room dining our Room Service Menu will be available online. 

There will be hand sanitiser stations on all bedroom floors. 

Our food outlets

Buffet services for breakfast will be replaced by table service for all guests.

During busier times booking slots may be allocated to guests on arrival.

Bookings are essential for Dinner Reservations in The Bailey Bar.

Menus will be cleaned and sanitised after each use.

Tables and chairs will be sanitised after each seating. 

Tables will be situated in line with government guidelines on social distancing.

Communal Areas in the Hotel

All communal areas in the hotel will receive frequent sanitisation and a risk assessment of all touch point will be carried out from the viewpoint of guests, staff and suppliers.

Hand sanitistation stations will be available in all public areas in the hotel.

Where possible doors will be left open and touch points will be reduced.

Signage will be in place to indicate what social distancing is required in all areas.

 Physical Distancing

Customers are reminded to practice physical distancing by keeping 2 metres away from anyone not in their party while standing in lines, waiting on lifts and moving around the hotel.  There will be signage throughout the hotel to guide you in and out of outlets.  Hand sanitising stations will be located at entrance to the hotel and high traffic areas.

While many of the above actions will alter how we serve and look after our guests none of them will result in a reduced service experience. Some of the changes will be visible while others will be less obvious but will be taking place in the background. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back and your safety is paramount to us.
